We decided on PLAN B again. It was a 9 mile hike with lots of ups and downs.
We got in the van with other PLAN B’ers.
We got off at the lunch spot to meet our group. It was in the middle of the jungle so not much to do. We tried to ask the people about hiking but couldn’t figure anything out. Marla and I did venture out a bit on a road. We did a short hike to the train station, this part was on the Inca trail. We took the train to Aguas Calientes and I was impressed with how cute the town was. It gets a bad reputation in the Machu Picchu Facebook pages. We stayed in a nice hotel, had a nice final dinner with our group and then to bed for an early morning wake up 5:00, breakfast at 5:30, 6:00 bus ride to Machu Picchu.
