We have been here before and loved it so back we go. We love everything about this place. The culture, art, red rocks, mountains, food and now the hiking. A highlight is that my college roommate Michelle lives in the area and came and stayed with us for a night. It was a lot of laughs and good times catching up.
David drove us up to Pikes Peak, again you need a reservation and they did check to make sure you had one. To obtain go to pikes-peak.com

In Manitou Springs we stayed for the third time now at the Villas of Manitou Springs. The price is reasonable and they are walking distance to the down town area. They serve a continental breakfast, pool, hot tub, nice clean rooms. You have to book through Expedia or such but the name is Villa Motel at Manitou Springs.
Our favorite restaurant was the Keg Lounge. David and I split the New York Strip and it was delicious! Also try the Berry Salad, which usually isn’t my jam but it was the bomb!
We also liked the Townhouse Sports Grill. The staff were very good and super friendly. The Armadillo is a nice place to have a drink as well.
There are so many cute shops and places to eat and drink in this town. It has a very small town feel. There are eight naturally carbonated cold-water mineral springs so bring your cup and fill up. They all have slightly different tasted depending on their mineral concentration. Go to for more information on the springs.

Until next time Manitou Springs!
